About Emma - Los Angeles-based Screenwriter

A tried and true East Coaster, I spent most of my formative years in rural Vermont. My sights have always been set on the screen, with aspirations to be a comedy and film writer stemming from my childhood obsession with Saturday Night Live. I am a recent graduate of the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television, having earned my MFA in Screenwriting. I earned the 2025 Showcase Award for Adapted Feature for my script Wait, Wait, Wait.

Prior to that, I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Marist College (now University) in 2022, having pursued my degree in Media Studies and Production: Film and Television, with minors in Creative Writing and Advertising. I was bestowed the Baccalaureate Award for Excellence in Media Studies and Production, the highest achievable academic honor within the department.

My time at Marist was highly enriching, allowing me to work on a variety of writing projects, such as full length screenplays as well as short digital video sketches. Along with directing digital sketches, I directed a student-written piece for Marist’s annual Playwright’s Festival. Furthermore, I have achieved my certifications in Avid Media Composer and Adobe After Effects.

I have worked on a variety of short film productions, and have experience as a Script Supervisor, Production Assistant, and Assistant Camera. Currently, I am working as a Script Reader and Reviewer for the Greater Philadelphia Film Office.

Looking forward, I cannot wait to continue to write, whether that is for film, television, scripted podcasts, advertising, or any other medium. Please feel free to contact me regarding any writing, production, or post-production opportunities!
